Valentine's Day Frosted Cookies Craft

A few days ago we made fossils with salt dough. Today I’m going to show you another way to use the dough by making frosted Valentine’s Day cookies.

Because all of the ingredients are kid friendly for the “frosting” this is a great project to do with the kids. I decided to tint my frosting light pink and then added some sugar crystals. The sky is the limit, though, so get creative and have fun.

I am going to turn my cookies into refrigerator magnets and give them out to friends. If you do that and decide to send them out as gifts I have included the Valentine card that I will be attaching to mine. Scroll to see it as well as the directions for the “frosting”.

If you want your cookies to last so that you can make them into magnets, I would suggest once they are thoroughly dried to spray them with a couple layers of clear varnish.
