National Hot Chocolate Day

Breakfast today included a hot cup of homemade hot chocolate. I absolutely love coffee, but sometimes on really cold mornings like this one, it just hits the spot.

There’s only so many ways to make the basic recipe, so this one may be close to others you have seen. Personally, I don’t add the sugar, but I do like my chocolate bittersweet. Scroll to see my recipe.

Hot chocolate is a wonderful treat in the morning, but it’s great anytime. I’ll use a powered mix for a quick cup of cocoa, but real hot chocolate is unmatched in flavor, so indulge yourself!
