Melting Snowman Valentine's Day Craft

You know how much I love snowman! So today I thought we could revisit the puffy paint from an earlier project (salt dough heart cookie “frosting”) and create a snowman who is so smitten with his beloved that he is melting.

Just add a cup of shaving cream (not the gel type) to a tablespoon of white glue and mix together. Build your snowman by plopping two dollops on top of each other and with dampened fingers, play until you get the desired look. I created his hat, scarf, buttons, arms, face, heart and sign with pieces of construction paper and added to the “snow” immediately before it dried. The sign is attached to a toothpick.

Scroll to see him at a different angle so you can get a better idea just how “melted” he is. The hardest part with this project is going to be giving him away. I think he’s pretty darn cute.
