Celebrate Cheese Curd Day


Are you a fan of “squeaky cheese”? If you are, it is time to celebrate- today is National Cheese Curd Day!

You may not have even heard of cheese curds before and technically they aren’t cheese but the byproducts of the cheese making process, but today I invite you to try them.


They are wonderful by themselves (I like to enjoy mine with a sliced up McIntosh apple), added to salads, fried and dipped into ranch dressing or marinara sauce or used in a dish called poutine (cheese curds stirred into brown gravy and poured over French fries).


If you can’t find them in your area, you can easily find a recipe online.
